This single-space melting furnace is heated by means of a special oxygen-gas burner producing flat flame, and situated in the front side of the furnace. The flame goes longitudinally through the combustion space and melts the batch charged to the furnace by a piston batch charger over the rear wall. Combustion gases leave the furnace through exhaust ports located close to the rear wall. It is recommended to utilize the heat of exhausted combustion gases for recuperative preheating of air being subsequently used in the technological process (e.g. for frit drying) or for hot technical water generation.
The melt flows out through a tapping spout on the front side of the furnace.
The melting unit technological process is fully automated and controlled by automatic control system that enables one to control sequential and continuous technological processes.
The control system offers these standard features: Storing and sorting of historical values measured,
complete library of predetermined user screen displays, graphic imaging of measured values in trend screens, printing of user reports, and alarm signalling.
There is delivered a complete heating system ranging from a main oxygen-gas train of a furnace up to the burner. Connection of gas and oxygen to main oxygen-gas train is to be ensured by the customer.
