Hot end coating
Hot End Coating Unit
During production, transportation and filling of the glass container, micro-scratches are generated on the surface which can lead to substantial weakening of the overall glass structure. To minimise this problem a coating is applied. Smooth coating and minimal use of coating agent are special features of this unit. To underpin these features, prime-quality material such as stainless and carbon steels, cold finished steel bars and seamless tubing ensure reliable operation and a long lifespan.

Cold end coating
HORN offers further ideal units for the even coating of the glass products at the cold end with the possibility of individual adaption in terms of belt width due to the unique construction method. However, after the unit is up and running our service does not stop. We price ourselves on having a top after-sale service even though our unit are all but maintenance-fee due to their linear design.
Cold end coating improves the mechanical as well as the handling properties of the product, especially products with high surface gloss. In addtion to this, it offers excellent surface protection.
